This privacy policy explains what information FitsyBaby (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit this website, why we collect it, how it is used, and what choices you have. It applies to this website only.
1. Who we are
FitsyBaby is an independent publisher of buying guides. We are not a retailer and we do not sell products. For any question about this policy or about your data, contact us at sy3tem@qq.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information: information you give us, and information collected automatically.
Information you give us
- Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, along with your comment and your IP address. Your email is used to display an avatar and is never published.
- Contact messages. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send, including your email address.
- Corrections and submissions. If you send us a correction or a source, we keep that correspondence.
Information collected automatically
- Server and security logs. IP address, browser type, referring page, pages requested and timestamps. These are generated by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, and are retained for a limited period.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See section 4 below.
- Aggregated analytics. Page views, referring sources, approximate country, device type and on-site behaviour, in aggregate form.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data (such as health information) and we ask that you do not send it to us.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and secure the website.
- To publish and respond to comments.
- To answer messages and corrections.
- To understand which guides are useful, so we know what to update or expand.
- To detect abuse, spam and attempts to compromise the site.
- To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our terms.
Our lawful bases, where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, are: your consent (cookies and analytics where required), our legitimate interests (operating and improving an editorial website, and keeping it secure), performance of a contract (where you contact us about something we have agreed to do), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for the following purposes:
- Essential. Remembering your comment details so you do not have to retype them, and protecting the site against spam and abuse.
- Analytics. Understanding in aggregate which pages are read and how visitors arrive.
- Affiliate tracking. When you click a link to a retailer, that retailer — or the affiliate network it uses — sets its own cookies so that a subsequent purchase can be attributed to us. These cookies are set by third parties, not by us, and their duration is controlled by them.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the site (particularly commenting) may not work. Where required by law, non-essential cookies are only set after you consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Affiliate links and third parties
This website participates in affiliate programmes. When you click an outbound product link, you leave our site and the destination retailer may record that you arrived from us. We may then earn a commission if you make a purchase. This does not change the price you pay.
Third parties that may process data in connection with your visit include:
- Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon’s own privacy notice governs data collected on Amazon properties.
- Other affiliate networks and brands whose programmes we participate in, whose privacy notices apply on their own sites.
- Our hosting provider and, where used, a content delivery network.
- Analytics providers, configured to minimise personal data collection.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with advertisers.
6. Embedded content from other websites
Articles may include embedded content (for example video). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly: it may collect data about you, use cookies, and embed additional third-party tracking. We have no control over that. We do not knowingly embed content from sites directed at children.
7. Children’s privacy
This website is written for adults — parents, guardians, relatives and professional caregivers. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We do not operate chat features, games, profiles or any other functionality designed to attract children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at sy3tem@qq.com and we will delete it promptly.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:
- Comments and their metadata are retained for as long as the article they belong to remains published, so that conversations stay readable.
- Contact and correction correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to document editorial changes.
- Server and security logs are retained for a limited period determined by our hosting provider.
- Analytics data is retained in aggregate form only, and is not used to identify individuals.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — to know what personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — to have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure — to have your personal data deleted.
- Restriction and objection — to limit or object to certain processing.
- Portability — to receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdrawal of consent — where processing is based on consent, to withdraw it at any time.
- Non-discrimination — under the CCPA/CPRA, to exercise your rights without being treated differently. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
- Complaint — to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email sy3tem@qq.com. We may ask you to verify your request before acting on it, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Security
We use HTTPS across the site, keep software updated, and limit access to personal data to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures.
11. International transfers
Our hosting provider and service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes will be reflected here, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about how your data is handled: sy3tem@qq.com. You can also use our contact page.
